Abstract

Here is the second part of a series of papers to describe the studies on cold tolerance of rice This part described the results of evaluation on cold tolerance of Yunnan rice genetic resources at three different stages Zaohonggu,Zinuo,Pannong No 1,Madenghonggu,Lancanghuanuo,Pantiangeheigu,Ninglang Tuotuogu and Haipaigu performed strong cold tolerance at budding stage The cold tolerance at budding stage differed among groups Heixuan No 5,Madenghonggu,Ludianheigu,Longshuhonggu,Qihedahonggu,Fenyixiaobaigu,Xiaobaigu,Beizinuo,Xihuangnuo,Heixuan No 5 and Madenghonggu performed strong cold tolerance at seedling stage Heixuan No 5,Haipaigu,Mengxiezaohonggu,Shipinglengshuigu,Lijiangxintuanheigu,Yongninxiaohuigu,Kunmingxiaobaigu,Banjiemang,Hexi No 10 and Yunleng No 3 2 performed strong cold tolerance at reproductive stage,Madenghonggu was tolerant to cold at both budding and seedling stages,Lancanghuanuo and Pantiangeheigu were tolerant to cold at both budding and reproductive stages and Fengyixiaobaigu and Longshuhonggu were tolerant to cold at both seedling and reproductive stages
