Abstract

Soil bulk density,soil porosity,water-holding capacity and permeability of forest land for broad leaf forest,Chinese fir forest and mixed forest of Chinese fir and Moso bamboo in Yingjiezui Nature Reserve were studied.The results indicate that there existed obvious differences in soil bulk density and soil porosity(in 0~45 cm layer)among different forest types;the soil bulk density of the mixed forest of Chinese fir and Moso bamboo was the biggest and that of broad leaf forest was the smallest;the non-capillary porosity of Chinese fir forest was the biggest and that of broad leaf forest was the smallest;the capillary porosity of broad leaf forest was the biggest and that of Chinese fir forest is the smallest;the total porosity of broad leaf forest is the biggest and that of Chinese fir forest was the smallest;the effective soil water storage of Chinese fir forest was the most while that of broad leaf forest the least;the maximum water storage of broad leaf forest was the most while that of the mixed forest of Chinese fir and Moso bamboo the least;the stable permeability rate of broad leaf forest was the biggest while that of the mixed forest of Chinese fir and Moso bamboo the smallest.The conclusions above are of certain reference value toward the construction of water conservation forest in Yingjiezui Nature Reserve.
