Objective To observe the effects of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of ischemic cerebral infarction. Methods 244 patients with ischemic cerebral infarction were divided into the observation group and the comparison group. The comparison group was treated with the conventional western medicines only, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture and massage in addition to western medicine. Results The total effective rates were 96.72% and 78.69% respectively in the observation group and the comparison group; NIHSS Scale of the observation group was (10.13±7.29) and (13.27±7.73) of the comparison group (P0.01).Conclusion The curative effects of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of ischemic cerebral infarction are higher than the therapy of western medicine.
