The Research on the Historical Mission of Modern Chinese Higher Education(1911—2012)

The modern Chinese higher education is the golden age of the national higher education history,the period of the development of higher education is connected with nation and national fate,which reflects the historical mission shouldered by higher education.According to major historical events,this period mainly consists of three phases:Higher education saves the nation from the revolution of 1911 to the founding of new China;Higher education protects nation from the founding of new China to reform and opening up;Higher education power nation from reform and opening up to the reform in new period,all deeply contain the historical mission of higher education.Therefore,deeply researching on the history mission of higher education in this period will play a beneficial enlightenment for the future development of higher education.
