An Analysis of Time-Space Disparities in Regional Economy of Chongqing Based on Spatial Autocorrelation

Based on comprehensive economic indexes and taking the districts and counties of Chongqing Municipality as the study units,this paper calculated the general score of its regional economic level by Spss and studied the regional economic spatial difference and evolution process of Chongqing by spatial autocorrelation analysis and by GIS space analysis provided by Geoda10.0 and Arcgis9.3.The results showed that in 2010 the differences between all regions of the municipality were characterized by more remarkable economic development in One-Circle than in Two-Wings and that the spatial disparity of regional economic strength exhibited a sphere structure in One-Circle and a single-nucleus structure in Two-Wings.From 2000 to 2010,there were great spatial differences in the economic level among various regions,but the entire spatial differences gradually decreased.Moran scatter plot showed that most counties were located in the first and the third quadrants,which demonstrated that few districts and counties were spatially heterogeneous and their distribution was unbalanced.Though the assemble type of some counties changed,the overall distribution pattern of high-high and low-low remained little changed.
