Fault sealing of Renxi fault in Raoyang depression

By analyzing the lithologic association on two sides of fault,the relationship between fault-moving periods and hydrocarbon migration periods,the mudstone-smearing,the rate of mud in fault stuff and the stress of fracture surface analysis,the fault sealing performance of Renxi fault in Raoyang depression was studied.Fault sealing performance was evaluated by using the synthesized evaluation method at last.The results show that Renxi fault starts and grows intensely in the second and third Shahejie sedimentary period.It fits to the hydrocarbon migration periods in this area.So the fault could become the pathway of hydrocarbon migration.After Neogene,Renxi fault stopped growing over a long time.Fault sealing is good in the Wumishan formation strata in foot wall of Renxi fault,which is beneficial to reservoir conservation in Renqiu buried hill.But fault sealing is bad in the Wumishan formation strata in upper wall.
