Abstract
Test solutions of mexiletine hydrochloride were prepared from the tablets by using filtration method and non-filtration method, respectively. The purity of mexiletine hydrochloride was determined by using double-point titration and traditional precipitation potentiometric titration, respectively. It was found that the analytical results based on the two kinds of titration methods were within the ranges specified in 《Pharmacopoeia》.Compared with the results of ultraviolet spectrophotometry prescribed in 《pharmacopoeia》,the results based on the two types of titration method showed a deviation of less than 2%.Besides,the deviation between the test solution prepared with filtration method and that prepared with non-filtration method was about 1%.
