Abstract
Objective:To investigate the influence of three kinds of crown margin designs on gingival condition and the content of endotoxin in Gingival Crevicular Fluid(GCF).Methods:The patients who needed full crowns were divided randomly into group A:shoulder margin;group B:chamfer margin and group C:knife edge. The gingival condition and endotoxin in GCF were analysed before tooth preparation, one month and six months after crown placement. Then statistics analysis was preformed.Results:(1)one month after the restoration, the content level of endotoxin, amount of GCF increases and GI increased greatly in all of three groups.(2)six months after restoration, the indexes in group A and B decreased to the level similar to that of before restoration. All the parameters in Group C decreases too,but no statistical difference was found. Conclusion:Marginal configuration in both Group A and B have better clinical effect than group C.
