Abstract

Five tea cultivars were sampled from the same site and five Camellia sinensis cv.Fuding-dabaicha populations from five different sites with different background concentrations of soil Pb,Cd,Cu,Pb,Cd, Cu contents in soils, and Pb,Cd,Cu concentrations, accumulation and transfer coefficients in old and young leaves were analyzed to investigate characteristics of lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd) and copper(Cu) uptake and accumulation in tea plant. The results showed that:(i) Under the same habitat, distribution order of Pb,Cd,Cu in five tea plants was lateral rootold leavesyoung leaves,Pb,Cd,Cu contents among five tea cultivars had some difference.(ii) Pb,Cd,Cu accumulation and transfer coefficients were significantly different among five tea cultivars in the same site.Pb accumulation coefficients of old and young leaves were in a range of 0.12-0.18 and 0.09-0.11,respectively. Cd accumulation coefficients of old and young leaves were 1.59-2.97 and 0.72-1.31,respectively.Cu transfer coefficients of old and young leaves were in a range of 0.32-0.41 and 0.20-0.28,respectively.(iii) Pb,Cd,Cu contents among different Camellia sinensis cv.Fuding-dabaicha populations growing in different habitats were significantly different.MT Camellia sinensis cv.Fuding-dabaicha population was developed in the edge of highway and suburb, its young leaves Pb,Cd contents, which was 3.46 and 0.37 mg/kg,respectively,were higher than these of XRL organic ecological tea plantation(1.50,0.07 mg/kg,respectively).There was a certain relevance between soil physical and chemical properties and tea plant Pb,Cd,Cu contents.Heavy metal contents in unwashed and washed tea leaves were greatly different,Pb content of unwashed and washed old leaves in Camellia sinensis cv.Fuding-dabaicha was 8.59,5.13 mg/kg,respectively.It was concluded that the ability of Pb,Cd, Cu uptake and accumulation had a certain difference in the different tea cultivars growing in the same site, which was controled by genetic effects. With environment influenced,Pb,Cd,Cu contents of lateral root, old and young leaves were significantly different in Camellia sinensis cv.Fuding-dabaicha populations growing in the different habitats.
