Abstract

With the development of switching power supply to large power and high frequency, the switching loss and noise of power tube ascend correspondingly,so,it is necessary to improve the topology of the conventional switching power supply. In order to reduce the switching loss, increase the frequency of switching devices, decrease the size as well as weight of switching power supply, and enhance efficiency accordingly,a novel phase-shifted zero-voltage-switching PWM converter was proposed in this paper to implement the soft switching.A high voltage DC power supply prototype applied to X-ray thickness gauge was developed based on phase-shifted-based control strategy in conjunction with two-way voltage doubling rectifying technology. The test results demonstrate that the prototype with output 80 kV/350 W can realize the high frequency, low loss and low EMI of switch, and high efficiency of power supply.
