Analysis on Nucleic Acid Test Results of ELISA-negative Blood Donors from Panyu District

Abstract

Objective By analyzing the nucleic acid test(NAT)results of ELISA-negative blood samples,probe the application value of nucleic acid detection technique in blood screening.Methods First use of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)reagent specimens of blood donors were HBsAg,anti-HCV and anti-HIV screening,negative samples,with Roche Diagnostics Cobas s 201 system,HIV,HCV and HBV were three joint detected,and the joint detected positive samples were breakdown confirmed.Results In the 8147ELISA-negative samples,6samples were NAT positive,the breakdown confirmatory test show that all the 6cases were HBV-DNA positive,the positive rate is about 0.074%.Conclusion ELISA-negative samples still exist in some HBV-DNA positive risk,Use ELISA joint NAT in blood screening can effectively reduce the risk of transfusion infected with hepatitis B virus.
