Abstract

Linguistic typology is a distinguished school in contemporary linguistics.This paper introduced the two developing stages of typology and presents the main characteristics of it,and it also argues the influence of typology to linguistic research in China.This article concluded with an optimistic predication of typology study in China in the future.
