Abstract

Objective To study the anti-HBV effect of WF.Methods 2215 cells were cultured for 24 h,then different concentration of WF were added and cultured for 8 d,and the WF's toxicity was evaluated according to the morphological alteration of 2215 cells. The supernate of culture was collected at the non-toxic concentration of WF,enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to determine the HBsAg and the HBeAg levels in the supernate. Results The non-toxic concentration of WF inhibited HBsAg and HBeAg secretion of 2215 cells significantly(P0.01),and the 50% inhibiting concentration(IC50) of WF on HBsAg secretion was 8.61 μg/ml,while the IC50 on HBeAg secretion was 20.87 μg/ml.Conclusion WF can inhibit HBsAg and HBeAg secretion of 2215 cells effectively, indicating that WF may have anti-HBV activity.
