Abstract
A total of 98 Suis samples collected from farming swine in Zhejiang province were evaluated for the presence of Streptococcus Suis. Of the 98 samples examined,56 was positive for Streptococcus Suis. 12 special isolated strains chosen in 56 strains were detected by culturing characterisation, biochemical characterisation and different serotypes. C group Streptococcus,L group Streptococcus, serotypes 2 and undefinded group with the 12 isolates were accounted 8,1,2 and 1, respectively. More isolates were discovered α or β hemolytic activities. The 12 isolates presented different sensitivity with inoculated mice. Moreover, serotype 2 was isolated firstly in Zhejiang zone.
