ABA Regulation of Lateral Root Development in Plants

Abstract

It is summarized the advance of lateral root development regulated by ABA.ABA inhibits the expression of some gene involving in lateral root initiation and activation for lateral meristem during lateral root formation.Lateral root development is inhibited by nitrate in growth medium and drought stress,while ABA alleviates the inhibition.The mechanism of ABA and auxin interacting during the formation of lateral root is complex.
