Abstract

The decolouring condition of Ponceau oxidized by H_2O_2 in NH_3-NH_4Cl medium using Mn~(2+) as catalyst was investagated. A new method of trace manganese determination was established. The linear range is 0~80μg/L and the limit of detection is 0.6μg/L . The method was used to determine the trace manganese in water and the results were satisfactory.
