A Study of Urbanization Degree in Sichuan Province——From the Perspective of Economy,Space and Population

The urbanization is a complex progress concerning multi-aspects and it is generalized into the economy urbanization,space urbanization and population urbanization on the base of understanding of its connotation. The 18 cities in Sichuan province are chosen to be researched respectively on holistic the urbanization as well as the three types of urbanization mentioned above The result shows that level of economy urbanization of the cities is commonly lower while the level of the space urbanization is comparatively higher and the land is heavily urbanized. The level of population urbanization and holistic urbanization is on decrease from Chengdu as a centre to the other parts. The healthy and orderly urbanization should theoretically be the economy-oriented one,yet none of the cities meets the requirements in Sichuan province.
