Abstract
PtRu /MWCNTs anodic catalyst was synthesized by hydrothermal treatment. The electrocatalytic oxidation of methanol was studied by cyclic voltammetry, linear sweep voltammetry, chronoamperometry and impendance spectroscopy. It was found that PtRu/MWCNTs catalysts synthesized in hydrothermal condition had higher electrocatalytic activities and better tolerance to poisoning species in methanol oxidation than that of PtRu/Vulcan XC-72.
