Screening of SSR Core Primer Pairs Suitable for Establishing DNA Fingerprinting Pool of Guizhou Maize Cultivars

To screen SSR core primer pairs which were suitable for establishing DNA fingerprinting pool of Guizhou maize cultivars,21 common maize inbred lines and 36 waxy maize cultivars as the materials were used to screen 87 sets of SSR primer pairs.Finally,23 sets of core primer pairs fit for establishing maize DNA fingerprinting pool of Guizhou were confirmed with consideration of PIC value,the definition of amplified band pattern and the repeatability of primer.Moreover,13 sets of core primer pairs fit for SSR molecular markers of Guizhou waxy corn were confirmed.
