Abstract
Objective: To investigate that endoscopic-assisted adenoidectomy is feasible and efficient. Methods: 19 patients undergoing adenoidectomy were evaluated with an endoscopic technique. A routine transoral or transnasal adenoidectomy was performed. In 1 case, transnasal endoscopic-assisted adenoidectomy was performed and adenoid in nasal cavity was removed, and then the rest were removed transorally. Result: Endoscopic-assisted adenoidectomy could eliminate hypertrophy adenoid, was not associated with excessive bleeding and was minimally invasive. Conclusion: Endoscopic-assisted adenoidectomy is a simple and minimally invasive. The endoscopic technique is advocated for use as a good adjunct to a complete adenoidectomy.
