Abstract
The analog-to-digital conversion chip ADC128S022 is taken as the data acquisition front-end in the design process of low-cost handheld oscilloscope. The FPGA on-chip dual-port RAM is used for data storage.A finite state machine is employed to achieve the trigger control and display driver of the handheld oscilloscope. The LCD module LCD12864 is used to complete the low-cost terminal graphics display. Moreover, the results testing on the DE0-Nano FPGA(Altera Cyclone IV)development board show that the low-cost handheld oscilloscope can realize the functions of trigger measurement, vertical sensitivity adjustment, scan speed adjustment and direct readout of waveform parameters at analog signal rising edge or falling edge at any electric level.
