Abstract
A laser-diode(LD) pumped Nd:YAG intracavity frequency tripling all-solid-state quasi-continuous-wave ultraviolet laser at 355 nm is reported. In cavity, the typeⅡ phase-matched KTP crystal is used for second harmonic generation (SHG) of the fundamental 1064 nm radiation to generate 532 nm radiation, and the typeⅡ phase-matched LBO crystal is used as a Sum Frequency(SM) of the 1064 nm radiation and the 532 nm radiation to generate 355 nm radiation. The laser can output 503mW ultraviolet at pumped current of 18A under the A-O Q-switch frequency 2.8 kHz.
