Abstract
Tectonic movement of rifted basin is an important part of tectonic evolution study. Study on the tectonic movement and quantitative restore of the dynamic process of the evolution of basin formation is significant in recognizing the controlling effect of trap development and structure of the basin on oil hydrocarbon accumulation. Baiyinchagan Sag locates in the north side of Erlian Basin, being a rift with fault in the north and overburden in the south. After many years of exploration and study, a large amount of recognition is obtained with a good exploration achievement. In recent years, the exploration result is not satisfied. The main reason is that the controlling factors and accumulation rule of hydrocarbon reservoir formation are not understood. This paper uses balance profile restore method to study the structural subsidence of horizontal extension in different sedimentary period and its genesis mechanism of Baiyinchagan Sag, discusses the sedimentary filling evolution and development characteristic, and determines their relation to hydrocarbon migration, reservoir formation and accumulation.
