Abstract
A field experiment was designed to research the seedling salt-tolerance of 12 new poplar and willow clones , together with 4 levels of salinity treatment on the seashore marsh. The results showed that high salt content caused the survival rate, conservation rate and biomass of the seedlings to decrease obviously. Among seedling stage, the salt-tolerances of clones were as follows: I-74,I-69 poplar clones about 0.241%; 35 poplar clone about 0.188%; J30-16, J35-13, J4-34, J31-17 willow clones about 0.089%. In the seedling growth period , the salt-tolerances of the above-mentioned clones were 0.343%, 0.333% and 0.201% respectively.
