Abstract

The Tang Dynasty is the most prosperous period of Chinese Taoism belief. The Tang rulers esteem Taoism during 300 years of reign. Accordingly, Taoism of the Tang Dynasty develops to its full degree, therefore the social custom of seeking Tao and Immortality and pursuing longevity is in vogue for a long time. Similarly, the vogue influences females in the Tang Dynasty whose spiritual world is full of Taoist concern.
