Abstract

In the second language acquisition,it is acknowledged that reading competence plays an important role in developing comprehensive language skills and realizing cross-culture communication.Consequently, language learners also attach great importance to how to better reading and thus comprehensive language skills. However, most language learners just care about the influence of linguistic factors and neglect that of non-linguistic factors.Linguistic factors involve language itself, and non-linguistic factors include background knowledge and reading strategies. The thesis discusses how to develop efficient reading ability from the angle of non-linguistic factors.
