Abstract
Based on the terrigenous sequence stratigraphic methodologies, the cyclic sequence of Shahejie Formation of fault_depressed lacustrine basin in Dongpu Sag is classified in detail, and the strata contrast frameworks of cyclic sequence of member 3 of the formation are proposed. The level of lake surface changed frequently, and the landscape and structure were very complex in period of Paleogene in Dongpu sag.On the basis of those features, several sequence stratigraphic patterns, such as structure_slope break,fault_slope,two_steps and high_frequency types, were developed in consideration the features of composition in different parts of structure and strata distribution. Those patterns can be used to direct the distribution of reservoirs and determine the oil_gas exploration direction in the member 3 of Shahejie formation in Dongpu sag.
