A Conformance Testing System for IPv6 Protocol

Abstract

Protocol conformance test is an important step for the development of network devices.In this paper,the architecture of a Conformance Test Execution System(CTES) is proposed based on the theories and methods of conformance test on Linux platform.It is implemented on Linux AS4.0 and basic Ipv6 protocols are tested afterward.Two conformance test schemes(10 cases of the test)are designed for IPv6 and ICMPv6 on Linux operation system.The conformance test for protocol IPv6 on RadHat Linux AS4 is conducted as well.
