Abstract
Based on study of damage process and analysis for nonlinear seismic response of reinforced concrete member at home and abroad, with the LS-DYNA,in order to simplify reinforced concrete model by direct method,a common node separate RC model of a typical RC frame was set up by indirect method. The horizontal directional seismic data of Wenchuan earthquake was initially loaded to investigate the damage characteristic and the failure features of different parts and collapse form of the structure by finite element simulation. The simulation result fitted practical seismic damage features well.
