Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore a new intensive vaccination of HBV by comparison between revaccination and combining with adjuvant. METHODS The freshmen of certain college were selected as observation objects. Students with all negative five items of hepatitis B were chosen. They were vaccinated with HBV as 0, 1-month, 6-month program at the dose of 10 μg×3. HBs-Ab was detected in the chosen students 210 days later, increased dosage or combining with adjuvant were applied in HBs-Ab (-) students. Increased dosage was used as 0, 1-month, 6-month program at the dose of 20 μg×3; Added adju- vant was injected of BCG at the dose of 2.0 ng for 5 days following by normal vaccination of HBV as 0 , 1-month, 6-month program. RESULTS The positive rate of HBs-Ab was 28.2% after revaccination of HBV vaccine; The positive rate of HBs-Ab was 79.5% with combination of HBV vaccine and BCG, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P﹤0.001). CONCLUSION Administration of BCG as immune adjuvant has a better immune effect than simple increase of dosage in immune non-responders.
