Research on Development Potential of Tourism Industry and Dynamic Evolution A Case in Changjiang River Delta Economic Circle

This paper took 25 cities in the Changjiang River Delta Economic Circle as the research project,using weighted principal components TOPSIS Method,from two aspects of its development potential and external support potential to measure the 2007- 2013 development potential of tourism industry. Then,the pattern of evolution for development potential of tourism industry was analyzed by applying the spatial correlation analysis method to seek for the spatial mechanism impacting on the development potential of tourism industry. The results showed that: Development potential of regional tourism industry as a whole stable between 0. 692 and 0. 791,but regional and individual difference was obvious. The development potential of the tourism industry had significant spatial correlation,and constantly strengthened the agglomeration effect. District gradually formed relatively stable structure of tourism industry development.
