Abstract
A comparative analysis has been carried out between Zhuangzi 's thought(starting from four directions, respectively I lose myself, empty boat, following nature law to live happily and freely andview on life and death) and Zen' s issues(like breaking persistence in ego and one' s belief, only live and act in accordance with Budda so as to fully find one's true self, how to confront death). It is found that there is some inner consistency to a great extent. This inner consistency contains rich thoughts, such as abandoning egotism, advocating respect for others, suppressing self-inflated emotions, diluting the fascination for vanity, actual profit and the opposite sex, following nature law to live happily and freely, act and live only in accordance with truth, confronting death calmly.
