Abstract
From 1978 to 2005,the contribution rates of the substance capital and the human capital accumulation to the economic growth of Anhui province are respectively 35.21% and 39.98%.The contribution of human capital to the economic growth includes direct and the indirect contribution, among which 31% of the total contribution is indirect. The potential nature of the influence of human capital on economic growth makes it necessary that we reconsider the importance of human capital. In addition, compared with the substance capital, the marginal rate of contribution of human capital to economic growth is higher,so we should further increase the investment of human capital.
