Abstract
From the late Qing Dynasty to May Fourth Period,Chinese society,culture,and values had changed drastically.In order to adapt to the changes of the Chinese as well as to the external poetic influence,theory of Chinese started a change from traditional to modern.From poetry critics to Wang Guowei,to youth Luxun,to May Fourth revolution pioneers,a large number of poets and critics put forward a series of concepts and claims of modern characteristics,thus gradually achieving the modern transformation of Chinese theory.
