Abstract
In order to solve the optimal design problem of steel tube truss structure in the practical engineering,the minimum total mass of the tube truss structure was considered as the objective function, strength,rigidity and stability were considered as restrain conditions,the optimal analysis of the truss structure was conducted based on Matlab and ANSYS. The mechanical properties of the truss structure before and after optimization from two methods were compared,and reasonable proposals were provided for the optimal design of the truss structure.
