Abstract
Compared with mold powder for common slab continuous casting, the mold powder for thin slab continuous casting is quite different in physical properties. Based on the study of physical and chemical properties and melting properties of mold powders, the optimum physical and chemical indexes of mold powder were determined for low carbon steel high speed thin slab continuous casting.
