Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and adverse reaction of sinoactinomycin-chemotherapy with radiotherapy for patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods From April 2011-April 2012, 50 patients were pathology confirmed to be nasopharyngeal carcinoma after randomly divided into the control group and treatment group. There are 25 cases in radiotherapy group, the other 25 cases was the experiment group. After the end of treatment, the tumor and its side-effects were observed. Results From the short-term curative effect, the total effective rate of treatment group was 92%, while the control group was only 60%; Using 50Gy and 70Gy dose exposure, the tumor regression rate of treatment group was 84% and 92%, respectively;while the control group was only 40% and 64%. In treatment group, side effects such as decrease in white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin and diarrhea, which occurred, respectively, 48%,56%, 48% and 20%, while the occurrence rate in the control group was 92%, 72%, 64% and 32%, respectively. Conclusion Concurrent sinoactinomycin-chemotherapy with radiotherapy could enhance the total effective rate, speed up the tumor regression rate, reduce the side effects and it's suitable for application in advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
