Abstract
Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica was introduced and cultivated in Shenmu for some years.The paper presented the research into it regarding its breeding,cultivation techniques and survival rate after afforestation.The result showed that Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica can grow well in Shenmu and can be used as ornamental trees or trees for plantation in desert and barren mountains.
