Relationship Between Road Alignment and Traffic Accident

Road alignment is the skeleton of highway and the direct carrier of vehicles,which controls the scale and investment of roadbed,bridges,cross and facilities along the highway.Based on the present research at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the relationship between expressway alignment and traffic safety in China.The results show that improving road alignment is one of the important means to relieve and eliminate the traffic accident.Alignment should be considered in the design of road,making alignment harmonious and reasonable,providing safe and comfortable conditions for drivers.
