Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effect of retroesophageal truncal vagotomy on the expression of ghrelin receptor(GHS-R1a) in the small intestine in rats.Methods: The expressions of ghrelin receptors(GHS-R1a) in small intestinal muscle layers at 24h after retroesophageal truncal vagotomy were detected by ways of full-thick small intestinal wall paraffin sections immunohistochemistry receptors staining,small intestinal muscle layers immunofluorescent staining and Western blot.Results: The results of paraffin sections receptors staining,immunofluorescent staining and Western blot indicated that the expressional trend of ghrelin receptors was down-regulated after retroesophageal truncal vagotomy.Conclusion: Retroesophageal truncal vagotomy could affect the expression of ghrelin receptors,the down-regulation of ghrelin receptors in small intestinal muscle layers was observed.
