Abstract
Under the background of urban construction in Xi'an metropolitan area,considering heat island and air pollution,which are the prominent issues of urban climate in local area,the paper analyzes the effects of layout of urban pattern and geographical environment to urban climate. Aiming to improve the urban thermal environment and the air quality,based on the urban climate analysis method,it presents the suggestion and guidance to urban planning of metropolitan Xi 'an area,optimizing the urban development pattern,making the adjustment and improvement to urban planning in different scales,in order to provide the healthy and comfortable human settlement with energy conservation and environmental protection.
