Knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation——a case of China

In this paper,based on the theory of regional innovation,we construct a model on the relationship between knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation,and develop an index system for evaluating the level of knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation.Then based on the data from the Statistical Yearbook,we evaluate and compare the level of knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation of China's 30 regions,and finally explore the relationship between knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation based on the result of statistical analysis.The results show that knowledge agglomeration can significantly affect regional innovation,but there is a certain lag during this process;besides,it is not entirely linear correlation between the level of knowledge agglomeration and regional innovation,the level of regional innovation is not always high while the level of its knowledge agglomeration is high,but the level of regional innovation is always low if the level of its knowledge agglomeration is low.
