Abstract

[Objective]To study knowledge on HIV/ AIDS and condom use among men who have sex with men(MSM) and provide scientific evidence for further behavioral intervention.[Methods]With informed consent, questionnaire investigations on HIV risk knowledge and condom use were conducted among MSM.[Results]A total of 400 participants were enrolled in this survey, the average age of investigated MSM was about 28 years old,The rate of knowledge about HIV/AIDS was 80.00%.7.25%(29/400) of them used condom persistently during the anal sex with men in the past 6 months. The rate of persistent condom use between individuals having commercial sex was 8.82%(15/170).During the past six months,The rate of the MSM have sex with women was only 5.8%(6/103) use condom persistently. When having sex with men,the higher rate of knowledge about AIDS/HIV,the higher rate of condom usage among MSM.When having commercial sex with men or having sex with women, knowledge on AIDS and condom use have no significant statistical means.[Conclusion]The rate of knowledge on HIV/ AIDS is a benefit factor for reducing the incidence of high risk sex,but knowledge and attitude on HIV/ AIDS don't match with behaviors.
