Abstract
Energy consumption of high efficiency EAF steelmaking was analysed.12,000 data at 5 production steps at three EAF steelmakers were collected and analyzed to get specific power and energy consumption of sintering,iron making,DRI making,steelmaking in EAF and hot rolling.And the whole mini-steel route was defined to be composed of these 5 steps.It showed that the high efficiency EAF steelmaking has made great progress with hot metal charge in reducing specific power consumption of EAF steelmaking and whole mini-steel route,but the specific energy consumption of whole mini-steel route has been increased obviously.
