An Analysis of Population Distribution Spatial and Temporal Pattern Evolution of the 25 border counties(cities) in Yunnan Province(1990-2010)

Using statistical analysis and CIS spatial analysis,This paper analyzes Population Distribution Spatial and Temporal Pattern Evolution of the 25 border counties(cities) in Yunnan Province(1990-2010).The analysis showed that the total population continued to growth,the urban population has continued to rise,the minority population growth rate was slightly lower than the Han populations from the 20 years between 1990 to 2010.On the spatial distribution,population is unevenly distributed,urban and rural population is highly concentrated,and the ethnic distribution pattern is single.This reflects the significant correlation of spatial difference for the population spatial distribution,regional economic development and geographic conditions in the border counties(cities) of Yunnan Province.
