Virtual prototyping technology is an advanced technology of mechanism domain developed in recent years. It would be the developing trend for the virtual prototyping technology to be used in the research and design of construction machinery. The application of virtual prototyping technology can greatly simplify process of mechanical product development, shorten circle of product development, decrease cost as well as get the most optimized and innovated of product. The essay expatiated on the advantage of virtual prototyping technology as well as the design process of its application software ADAMS. Finally, the simulation design of corn harvester was given as an example of application of virtual prototyping technology.
