Abstract

Objective To establish the method of the reticulocyte counting by flow cytometry and to apply in clinical laboratory. Methods Add 5μl whole blood into the thiazol orange-dye. Count 100 000 red blood cells by flow cytometry. Calulate the reticulocyte and compare it with the counting by microscope. Results There was no significant difference between the methods of reticulocyte counting by flow cytometry and microscope. Conclusion The reticulocyte counting by flow cytometry is a rapid ,accurate and precise method and is appropriate for routine clinical detection.
