Soft Science Studies in China: Review and Prospect

The major concerns of soft science concentrate on the scientific, social and economic reality which has been in rising sophistication, deepening and integration. The soft science aims to give answers to a series of epistemological dilemma under the current open and complicated situations by integrating humanism and scientific approaches and integrating areas of science. From the very birth soft science studies in China have been the whole knowledge system underlying democratic and scientific decision-making. And it has been widely acknowledged and accepted as a symbol of muti- and inter-disciplinary subject, a systematic perspective and a holistic method.Soft science in China has achieved great success and suffered from some problems as well. The concerns of both the success and the problems are the major sources of new growth points in its future development.
