Abstract

The main purpose is to study wave absorbing characteristics of the regular wave and cnoidal wave slope bed surface in a double row of trapezoidal permeable submerged breakwater based on the duplex wave flume experiment on the slope of 1∶35.The relative crestdepth(R/H) is investigated, porosity k is effected by the transmission coefficient and reflection coefficient of the double trapezoidal permeable submerged. The results show that the relative crest depth(R/H) of submerged breakwater play an important role in the dissipation of permeable submerged. With the increase of crest water depth, the transmission coefficient of cnoidal increases at first and then decreases. The dissipation of nonlinear wave in permeable submerged breakwater is stronger than the dissipation of regular waves.Permeable submerged breakwater has a better absorbing effect on short waves, most of the wave energy is consumed by the interaction between the waves and the gap medium when waves are passed through submerged breakwater, which makes the height of the reflected wave in front of permeable submerged breakwater small as well as the height of transmission wave after permeable submerged breakwater.
