Abstract

The nutrients in 519 soil samples collected from tobacco growing areas in Nanyang were analyzed. The results showed that the pH values of 93.8% soil samples were among 5.8-8.0 and the average value was 7.23.The organic substance contents of 79.8% soil samples were among 1-1.5% while the average was 1.186%.The average contents of total N and rapidly available N were 0.082% and 57.7mg/kg respectively while the contents of rapidly available N of 76.3% soil samples were among 30~65mg/kg.The average contents of total P and rapidly available P were 0.046% and 13.06 mg/kg respectively. The average contents of total K and rapidly available K were 1.62% and 157.09mg/kg respectively. The contents of rapidly available K of 85% soil samples were above 100mg/kg.The suitable fertilizing technology in Nanyang tobacco growing areas was suggested based on the result.
